About trip
Updated 09/09/08 - Diversion 1 - at 2.51 miles - 2.87 miles and on return - Avoids a section of farmland on the Snowdonia Slate Trail near to Ugly House due to landowner concerns re livestock and due to a vehicle having damaged wall of bridge beside Ugly House. / Diversion 2 - 2024 Event takes in Llyn Cowlyd. Due to Forestry works beside Llyn Crafnant car park impacting access across this section of the route. / The operation area and overhead powerlines, constraints & contracts GIS Layers. "This felling site is riddled with challenges – with steep slopes working, above a public road, above powerlines, being primary concerns/challenges. It is highly likely that NRW will need to officially close off Crafnant Car Park & the toilets during felling operations, especially in the sections nearest the car park, due to site being within the risk zones of falling trees, also if any trees were to run away, and chain-shot risk zone should the felling chain of a harvester machine break. So for safety reasons we would need to exclude public from those risk zones. NRW apologise for any inconvenience." / LOW LEVEL UPDATED 09/09/2024 - YR WYDDFA SNOWDON ULTRA - 50 MILE - POOR WEATHER ROUTE. / 1.
