About trip
Steep first section on a narrow path in the summer overgrown with ferns. What looks like the flat ridge along the top is undulating up and down with some steep sections. Great views along ridge of blencathra and Skidaw (I think). Lovely potential lunch spot at last peak. Path descends to St John in the Vale church. Path home can be quite rough in places. Lovely tea spot about a mile from the finish at Low Brodge End dark. They also sell jams and other farm produce. Quite a hard walk and very tired at the end.
