The Southern end of the rail track at Whitrope Heritage Centre leads onto a forestry maintained path towards Steele Road passing Ricarton Junction. A road walk heads North to Saughtree Station. From here, the course of the old Border Counties Railway takes you back to Ricarton Junction.
